I don’t know why but when you think of musicians you often think of tattoos. So many musicians have tattoos and it may be because they are creative people and a tattoo is another way of expressing this creative streak. With most musicians you tend to find that their tattoos are a reflection of the type of music that they play. The genre of music that they most associate with which is why you find so many musicians sporting skull and cross bones as well as the more common musical notes. If you take a look at musicians you will see that most of their tattoos are in a place on their bodies which is easy to see whilst they are on stage; this usually means their arms or chest is tattooed. As a guitarist is playing his guitar the audience will naturally be drawn to the guitarist’s arms so this is always a great place to have a tattoo. A rebellious musician can also get away with removing his shirt on stage which gives another chance to clearly display his body artwork. Like their music which is unique to them you tend to find a tattoo which is designed by them themselves or an adaptation of another. As musicians are struck with music which has inspired them in the past you may find them with tattoos of lyrics from a favorite song or poem. Being part of the music industry allows a musician freedom to do whatever they want to with their bodies, they are free to express who they are with their body art and tattoos and will continue to do so until the end of time. Being a musician is not like having a 9-5 office job and they can show off their tattoos without it looking unprofessional or common. If a musician has to dress up for an occasion or play at a wedding for example they can always wear a long sleeved shirt to look more ordinary. You can always count on a musician to have the wildest tattoos and the newest designs as this is an extension of their already creative personality. Tattoos will be with you forever so you must choose wisely otherwise they can really haunt you. Make sure that you go to a professional where you can see some of their previous work before diving in and making a mistake.
